JOB TITLE: Web Designer

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW

The Web Designer will have overall responsibility for working on a variety of projects primarily involved in web design and development, including email, microsites, graphics and display design. This includes design layout and creation of individual graphic elements. Additional consideration given to candidate with dual expertise in both web design and offline design including knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals and typography.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and delivers repetitive, consistent design elements for marketing efforts
  • Provides day-to-day marketing productions needs of the company
  • Ensures that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design
  • Demonstrates the ability to take design through to production deployment in a clean, well-structured, easily maintainable format, including graphics, layout, scripting and programming
  • Works closely with sales and account management to coordinate marketing materials with upcoming events
  • Responsible for design, production and meeting deadlines for all projects on marketing schedule
  • Work with managers and design team to plan and strategize design initiatives
  • Possesses flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be highly-organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines
  • Must have clear understanding of design guidelines and specifications as well as design and production processes
  • Good communication skills and have the ability to work independently when necessary
  • Must be a team player and someone who can work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines,
  • Must be technically-savvy and adept to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Front-end and back-end development experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graphic Design degree or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years graphic design experience.
  • Proficient with the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Practical experience in development of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress, graphics creation with Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite, multimedia creation with Flash, ActionScript (Macromedia Studio).
  • Experience with Pardot and SalesForce would be a plus.
