Teonne A. Wright Member Profile January 2015

Teonne Wright Jan 2014Teonne A. Wright: A Multimedia (web, print, video) Designer, Developer & Photographer, Artist & Music Freak, A lover of all things creative. I am the Webmaster at UNO Criss Library and Communications Director at Greater Beth-el Temple. An enthusiastic and professional multimedia creative with a solid background in graphic design and web development, which enjoys being part of, as well as leading, a successful and productive communications team. Experienced in developing and implementing print, social and mobile media campaigns, art direction, event planning, and photography, I have over twenty-two years of freelance experience, sixteen years of experience working in the University of Nebraska academic organization, seventeen years of teaching experiences and over 20 years of experience leading design, audiovisual, and communications teams for several non-profit organizations.

I became involved in American Advertising Federation (AAF) while pursuing my Masters’ degree when I joined the UNO Ad Club in 2008 and was co-president 2009 to 2011. I was also awarded one of the 2011 American Advertising Federation Omaha (AAF Omaha) scholarships. As a student member of AAF I really enjoyed attending Meet-the-Pros. It was a great opportunity to connect with advertising professionals, get excellent portfolio review, and to learn current information from some of the best in the industry.  Because of the wonderful connections and contribution made in the UNO chapter, I decided to continue my membership with AAF Omaha to further enrich and enhance those experiences.

•         Spotify, Radio, Pandora or local radio?

I live for iHeart Radio every morning as I get ready for the day.

•         Favorite AAF Omaha event to attend?

Of course ANY of the EDUCATION EVENTS!

•         Pick a Pantone color that best represents you: http://www.nwreinc.com/PMS_Color_Chart.pdf

I would say I represent all of the colors. I am very versatile, vivacious, and colorful. Since I have to pick just one pantone color that best represents me, I would say PMS 177.

•         What is your take on selfies?

I am queen of the selfie. I’ve been taking pictures of myself since I was able to hold a camera in my hand and not drop it, but I hate the term ‘selfie,’ it is like scratching nails on a chalkboard.

•         What’s the strangest client request you’ve ever received?

I have a client that wants me to create a logo of birds sitting in a window looking out into an urban setting with a tree that has real leaves.
