Director, New Client Acquisition

Phenomblue is searching for a Director of New Client Acquisition. The role is responsible for the firm’s new client acquisition strategy and development, while managing the day-to-day operations of the New Client Acquisition team. You are primarily responsible for the identification and solicitation of new client opportunities for the firm. You will work with the firm’s Practice Leads, transitioning qualified opportunities to them for closing/sale, and work with the VP of Marketing to continue developing a brand strategy that supports and enhances the effectiveness of the firm’s client acquisition model. You will identify and analyze metrics to guide new client acquisition and marketing strategies, working within our Business team to determine gross revenue plans. This role reports directly to the CEO.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in a business development, sales and/or lead generation role, with an impressive track record for producing new opportunities and driving top line revenue. MBA background is preferred and experience working directly with C-level executives regularly is a must. Consulting background is a plus. Very little travel anticipated.

The details of the duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Establishes qualified lead objectives by forecasting and developing annual lead quotas and other performance measures. You will measure results and analyze trends in order to fulfill new client acquisition objectives, determine strategy and ultimately, grow the New Client Acquisition team.

Requires researching, evaluating and purchasing targeted lists of new client leads. You will maintain and expand the firm’s database of prospects, while identifying decision makers within targeted lists to begin sales process, and develop ongoing relationships with vendors to receive replacement prospects as needed. Further, you will manage a list of prospects for the Marketing team to use for communication through ongoing email marketing and other internal brand development efforts.

Demonstrates continued understanding of prospects within Phenomblue’s target audience in regards to supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors to inform client acquisition strategy. You will educate team appropriately and determine most effective methods for prospect identification and development.

Works with our cross-functional, internal teams as well as potential sales leads. You are team-oriented, but able to manage relationships independently and make decisions swiftly. In collaboration with our Business team, you will determine necessary strategic sales approaches.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.
