Account Director

Phenomblue is searching for an Account Director. The role is responsible for the development and management of Phenomblue clients reporting directly to a VP, Practice Lead. You are primarily responsible for ensuring the needs of clients are fulfilled and growing the business by working collaboratively with our analysts and creatives to identify and evaluate trends within clients’ businesses, proactively recommending solutions to achieve success. Executing within our PTSApproach™ you will be a strategic asset for our clients, directly impacting the success of their business.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in a similar role with extensive experience working in marketing and can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. MBA or equivalent experience preferred. Consulting or agency background a plus, however an ability to show proven sales capability is a must (i.e. not your traditional agency account director). Must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to discover and diagnose client challenges, while turning those challenges into opportunities for new business. Requires extensive comprehension and experience selling professional services to clients, and how to curate long-term relationships. Moderate travel required.

The details of the duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Directly responsible for agency billings and expected to sell new business within current accounts under the direction of the Practice Lead. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to win and close new business within either a new account or house account.

Demonstrates critical thinking and strategic direction at a fundamental business level.

Possesses substantial experience working with senior and executive leadership, influencing and determining decision making and sound strategy with clients at this level.

Works with our cross-functional, internal teams to deliver work not just efficiently, but that also exceeds our clients’ expectations. You will be team oriented, but able to manage relationships independently and make decisions swiftly.
